Happy Fourth of July!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Today we headed out to the town we’ll move to if we stay in CA – we spent the afternoon at a park which had 3 pools and a splash pad. Splash pads are THE BEST for toddlers. They can play in the water and you don’t have to worry about them going under – takes my stress level down a few notches. We did end up going in one of the pools as well. The Boy loves to be in the water – he’s such a little fish!! No fear at all. Today he jumped from the side of the pool for me to catch him – so cute!! It amazes me how big he’s getting!!

After the pool, we headed over to another park where there was music and food. We had a picnic for The Trio and let them play & run around on a toddler play structure. All in all, I think they had a great time!!

We used to spend our 4th of July with our very good friends… they would grill, we’d hang out all afternoon, play in their pool – then fireworks complete with music!! It was so much fun – our tradition. Then they broke up – not only did we lose a great couple & family to spend time with, we also lost our 4th of July tradition!! I thought about them today… and how much fun we all used to have. (I hope they all had a fun day today too!!)

Today though… it could be the beginning of a new tradition for us – we really enjoyed our day!! It was also great to be in this other potential-new-home community. We specifically went there to see how they celebrate the Fourth. We’re really wanting to be part of a community when we make our next move. I could totally see us living here if we stay. It suits us.
